A Touch of Winter Lingers in Tokyo’s Morning
Even as March progresses, Tokyo’s morning air still carries a hint of winter’s chill.
However, as the day moves on, the warmth gradually increases, making gloves and scarves unnecessary.
Spring is just around the corner, yet traces of winter linger, creating a unique blend of seasons in the city.
This morning, I visited Yasukuni Shrine, Chidorigafuchi, and the Tokyo Expressway,
capturing the transition from winter to spring in Tokyo’s changing landscapes.
冬の寒さが残る東京の朝
3月も半ばを迎えましたが、東京の朝はまだ冬の冷たさを感じます。
それでも、日中の気温は徐々に上がり、手袋やマフラーがなくても過ごせるほどに。
春はすぐそこまで来ていますが、冬の余韻がまだ街の空気に残る、そんな一日でした。
⛩️ Yasukuni Shrine – Crisp Air and Signs of Spring
The shrine grounds were filled with the crisp, lingering air of winter.
Under the cloudy sky, the chirping of birds echoed through the quiet sanctuary.
While the cold remained, walking along the pathway, I could gradually feel a gentle warmth,
a subtle reminder that spring is steadily approaching.
⛩️ 靖国神社 – 冷たい空気と春の気配
靖国神社の境内には、冬の名残を感じさせるひんやりとした空気が広がっていました。
曇り空の下、静けさの中に鳥のさえずりが響き渡り、時間がゆっくりと流れていました。
まだ冷たい風が吹くものの、歩いていると徐々に温もりを感じ、
春が確実に近づいていることを実感しました。
🌊 Chidorigafuchi – Tranquil Waters and the Whisper of Spring
At Chidorigafuchi, the stillness of the water mirrored the quiet morning atmosphere.
The cherry trees lining the moat remained bare, yet at the tips of the branches,
tiny buds had begun to swell, hinting at the blossoms soon to come.🌊 千鳥ヶ淵 – 静かな水面と春の足音
千鳥ヶ淵では、水面が静かに広がり、穏やかな朝の景色が目の前にありました。
桜の木々はまだ冬の姿のままですが、枝先には少しずつ蕾が膨らみ始めています。
春はもうすぐそこまで来ている、そんな兆しを感じる千鳥ヶ淵でした。
🚗 Tokyo Expressway – The City’s Pulse Never Stops
Despite the gloomy skies and occasional drizzle, Tokyo’s expressways remained as lively as ever.
Rain-soaked roads reflected the glow of headlights, creating an almost dreamlike scene.
The city’s rhythm never halts, moving forward regardless of the shifting seasons.
🚗 首都高 – 変わらぬ都市のリズム
今朝の首都高は、曇り空と小雨の中、変わらず都市のリズムを刻んでいました。
雨に濡れた道路がヘッドライトを反射し、幻想的な光景を作り出していました。
都会の風景は、天候が変わってもその流れを止めることはありません。
🌸 Spring is Just Around the Corner
Although the chill of winter lingers in Tokyo’s mornings,
the warmer daytime temperatures and swelling cherry buds signal that spring is near.
The city is slowly transitioning, and I look forward to witnessing its full transformation.

朝はまだ冬の名残を感じましたが、日中の気温は少しずつ上がり、
